Overview¶
Overview (#/overview) brings together what Faxbot is doing, possible improvements, everyday fax counts and items that need attention.
The page loads each block separately. A block shows when it was last checked; a result older than ten minutes is marked stale. Refresh checks the blocks again. A permission or failed read is shown as unavailable or not checked, not as an empty result.
What Faxbot is doing¶
This block lists capabilities that acted on faxes during the period shown and the results in their own units. Money figures are estimates. Page, time, call and byte counts are separate measures; do not add them together or treat a byte count as money saved.
Next improvements¶
Suggestions say whether you can act now, need a fact, need a recipient's agreement or are experimental. Select one to open the relevant page. Every capability opens Savings & optimization → Capabilities, which lists what each capability needs and where its setting is.
Everyday faxes¶
This block shows counts for received, sent and expected faxes, and, when your role allows it, Send a fax. The cards below show system status, outbound delivery, inbound fax, spending for the last 30 days, email delivery and direct partners. Select a card to open its page. System Status opens Administration → System health.
Needs attention¶
This block lists issues that need a decision or a check, with a link to the relevant list or setting:
- a fax engine that is not ready, sent faxes with an uncertain result, or recent failed sends;
- held faxes and expected faxes with possible matches to confirm;
- received faxes without an owner, overdue received or expected faxes, and received faxes that failed email delivery;
- carrier charges with no matching fax, or a network change that could allow fax over IP.
When a serious problem is present, Needs attention moves to the top. Faxbot says Nothing needs attention only when all its checks succeeded and found nothing. If a source is unavailable to your account or could not be checked, the block names it instead. Select Refresh to retry.
Other information¶
The AI analysis card appears when your role can read settings. It shows generated advice from recorded costs and delivery outcomes. Check suggestions against the figures; the analysis does not change settings or send faxes.
When your role can read settings, the map at the bottom shows ways Faxbot can reduce costs or improve delivery, and how each stands. It shows no money; select a capability to see its figures on Savings & optimization → Savings results.
